MHC is undertaking a road construction project with an overall 15km road network in Area 43 Sector 8. This is an area where the corporation has developed plots. The work is being implemented in phases, with Phase 1 covering a 2.5 km stretch.

The objective of the Road Construction Project is to improve transportation infrastructure, enhance accessibility, and support socio-economic activities within the area. The scope of works includes earthworks, base preparation, drainage construction, and asphalt surfacing, aiming to deliver a durable, all-weather road.

The project started in August 2025 and is estimated to cost approximately 7 billion Malawi Kwacha.
